Stirred

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-04

The short version

Stirred has no accounts. Your bar, your recipes and your notes live on your device. We never ask for your name, email or phone number. To improve the app we collect usage statistics and crash reports tied only to a random ID, never to your name, and you can turn that off. If you scan your shelf, the photo is analyzed by our AI provider to find your bottles and is not kept.

What stays on your device

Shelf photos

If you use Scan your shelf, the app first asks for your permission. It then sends the photo you take or pick to our scanning service, which runs on Cloudflare, and the service passes it to our AI provider, fal.ai, running Google's Gemini model, to recognize the bottles in it. Only the photo goes to the AI provider, and it is used only to return the list of bottles that you then check before anything is added. We do not keep the photo or a copy of it.

To apply the free scan limit, the scanning service keeps a count of scans for each app installation, under the random identifier described under Purchases. It holds no photos. fal.ai's privacy policy: fal.ai/legal/privacy-policy.

iCloud sync (iPhone and iPad)

If iCloud is on, your bar is synced between your own devices through Apple's iCloud key-value storage, under your Apple ID. We cannot read it. You can turn this off in Settings → Backup & export in the app.

Purchases

Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card. To know whether you have Stirred Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your purchase history from the store together with a random identifier created by the app. That identifier is not derived from your device, your phone number or any advertising ID. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

On iOS, the app may pass Apple's privacy-preserving Search Ads attribution token to RevenueCat so we can see which ad campaign, if any, led to a purchase. It contains no personal data and needs no tracking permission.

Usage statistics and crash reports

To see which parts of Stirred work and where people get stuck, the app sends usage events (for example "finished setup", "opened the Pro page" or "started a free trial") and crash reports to our own database, hosted by Supabase. Each event carries the random identifier described under Purchases, the app version, your phone's model and system version, whether you have Stirred Pro, and which version of the welcome screens you saw. An event can name a built-in recipe or ingredient (for example, that you added gin to your bar), but never anything you type: no notes, custom recipe text or brand names. Like any web service, Supabase may keep standard request logs, such as IP address and time, for security.

Usage events are deleted after 180 days and crash reports after 90 days. They are not used for advertising and are not sold or shared. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → About → Share usage data.

Shared menu links

When you share a menu as a link, the drink list and the host name you typed are part of the link itself. Anyone with the link can open it. Our web host (Cloudflare) may keep standard request logs, such as IP address and time, for security.

Feedback

If you email us from the app, we receive what you write and your email address, and use them only to reply.

What we do not collect

Age

Stirred is about alcoholic drinks and is meant only for adults of legal drinking age in their country. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
